Travelling by car

 Approaching via the A 45 motorway

1. Leave the A 45 motorway at the exit "Eichlinghofen/Universität"
2. Drive along the Universitätsstraße towards "Technologiepark/Universität"
3. After passing the traffic lights take the next possible left turn into "Hauert"
4. Follow "Hauert" until the next traffic lights and turn right into "Emil-Figge-Straße"
5. Cross "Vogelpothsweg" at the next traffic lights
6. The building "Emil-Figge-Str. 50" is on the right hand side
7. After approx. 250 metres, turn left into the parking site - the "Emil-Figge-Straße 50" building is directly across the road.

Approaching via the A 40 motorway / B1 main road

1. Leave the main road B1 at the exit "Universität/Technologiepark"
2. Follow the road until the next traffic lights
3. Turn left into "Emil-Figge-Straße"
4. Cross "Vogelpothsweg" at the next traffic lights
5. The building "Emil-Figge-Str. 50" is on the right hand side
6. After approx. 250 metres, turn left into the parking site - the "Emil-Figge-Straße 50" building is located directly across the road.

Travelling by public transport

The North campus - where the faculty is located - is reachable by the "S1" train (the name of the station is "Dortmund Universität") from two directions: from Düsseldorf (via Duisburg, Mühlheim, Essen, Bochum) and from Dortmund main station. For further connections please visit the websites of Deutsche Bahn and VRR (Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr: the regional traffic network)

From the station to the building (3 minutes):

• You can take both exits (a part of the railway line is suburban, so the exits are upstairs)
• From the exits above go towards the stairs (left of the stairway is a large building  - the university's library) and go upstairs
• On the stairs keep right and than go straight towards the "Emil-Figge-Straße 50", building which is within clear sight .
